The private motorcycle and rarities collection “Wurzelhaus” is a particularly worthwhile destination in Kollnburg.
The passionate collector Willi Schmid (+) has amassed more than 100 mopeds and motorcycles over 30 years. His passion for collecting started with an NSU, and now you can find all kinds of motorcycle models in the “Wurzelhaus”: Adler, BMW, DKW, Horex etc. You can also admire almost every Zündapp model ever built, as well as a beautiful, well-preserved Goggomobil. The hobbyist has even built a roadworthy wooden bicycle. In addition to the collection of historic motorcycles and mopeds, everything historic (tools, hand-operated machines, etc.) relating to “craftsmanship in the olden days” is also on display, arranged with great attention to detail according to occupational groups.
